Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-07-04 · Version: 0.1 (draft)

These Terms govern use of Tiervue, a VALORANT stats and rank tracker available as a Discord bot and a website at tiervue.com ("the Service"). The Service is operated by Strasse, a sole operator established in the Netherlands ("we", "us").

By using Tiervue you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Tiervue displays publicly available VALORANT match and rank data for players who have personally linked their Riot account through Riot Sign-On (RSO). It consists of:

  • a website with player profiles, account settings, and server dashboards
  • a Discord bot with slash commands and optional features such as automatic rank roles and match-result posts in configured channels

Tiervue uses the official Riot Games API. We do not scrape, intercept, or reverse-engineer game data.

2. Not affiliated with Riot Games

Tiervue is not endorsed by Riot Games and does not reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing VALORANT. VALORANT and Riot Games are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country (16 in many EU member states), to use the Service. You must also meet the eligibility requirements of Discord's Terms of Service and Riot Games' Terms of Service. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you confirm a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms.

4. Accounts and linking

The Service has no separate username or password. You sign in by completing RSO with Riot Games. Linking your Riot account to Tiervue is an explicit, opt-in action.

By linking your Riot account you acknowledge that your VALORANT rank and recent match history become publicly visible on your Tiervue profile and in any Discord server where Tiervue is installed. You can unlink at any time from your profile settings. Unlinking deletes the data we store about you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping access to your Riot and Discord accounts secure. Activity performed through a linked account is treated as your activity.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to harass, dox, scout, or publicly shame other players
  • use the Service to make betting or gambling decisions, or to facilitate either
  • attempt to view or aggregate data on players who have not personally linked their account
  • scrape, mirror, resell, or systematically copy data from the Service
  • circumvent rate limits, caches, or access controls
  • impersonate another player by linking an account that is not yours
  • use the Service to break Riot Games' Terms of Service or Discord's Terms of Service
  • interfere with the Service's operation, including by overloading it

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation, without notice if the violation creates a risk to the Service, other users, or our access to the Riot API.

6. Server admins

If you install Tiervue in a Discord server, you confirm you have the authority to do so for that server. You are responsible for configuring the bot in line with these Terms, including which channels it posts in and whether automatic rank roles are enabled. Server-level configuration cannot override the opt-in rule: only the personal data of players who have personally linked through RSO will be displayed, regardless of server settings.

7. Subscriptions and payments

[CONFIRM with Riot before launch. The VALORANT API policy permits subscriptions with a free tier and transformative content; written confirmation is requested in the production-key application.]

If and when paid tiers are offered:

  • a free tier with core functionality is always available
  • paid content consists of transformative insights (breakdowns, graphs, history aggregates), not raw resold data
  • prices, billing periods, and refund policy will be stated at the point of purchase
  • subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled, in line with applicable consumer law. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive, which is waived for digital content only with your express consent at purchase
  • billing is processed by a third-party processor. We do not store full payment card details

8. Intellectual property

Tiervue's name, logo, website, design system, and source code are owned by us. VALORANT in-game content (agent art, map names, rank tier names) belongs to Riot Games and is used here in line with Riot's third-party developer policy. Data returned by the Riot API remains the property of Riot Games and the players it describes.

You retain ownership of anything you submit to the Service. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as needed to run the Service.

9. Availability and changes

The Service is provided as-is. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, including in response to changes in the Riot API, Riot policy, or Discord policy. We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. Scheduled maintenance and outages will happen.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by unlinking your Riot account and, if you are a server admin, removing the bot from your server. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by Riot Games or Discord, or if continued access creates risk to the Service. On termination, your stored data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, or current. Rank, match, and stat data are sourced from the Riot API and may lag, contain errors, or become unavailable.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or for damage to natural persons under EU law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of the district where we are established, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the website and, where reasonable, by notice in the bot or by email if you have provided one. The "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use after the new Effective date means you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept them, unlink your account.
